Canada.com reports that the Conservative Party of Canada is re-branding and part of the re-branding by the Stephen Harpers describes them as "Canada's founding party."
Here is where the magic comes in. Canada became official in 1867; the current Conservative Party of Canada was born in 2003. The Stephen Harpers are also online taking credit for NAFTA, the discovery of oil in Leduc, Alberta and the Toronto Maple Leafs dynasty in the 1960's.
Methinks they be lying.
