Massachusetts may spend nearly a billion dollars on equipment to stop trains before they crash into each other, because hiring drivers who stay awake is too hard
That is the Fark.com headline; when I linked to Boston.com I was amazed to find out that the Green Line, is Boston's "... only rapid-transit line without at least some form of computerized or mechanical accident-prevention system." Not so amazing is the fact that it is also the town's only line that has one big crash a year plus a once a month record this millennium of blowing thru lights and speeding which results in bad things happening.
At least the foot-dragging in your capital has prevented such malfeasance.
