Is what both Michael Ignatieff and the Waterloo Region have.

Mr. Ignatieff's support for an LRT in KW was trashed by an editorial in yesterday's Globe and Mail coz people drive too much in the tri cities and there is no cohesive downtown and there are only 500,000 folks in KW.

Bollocks.

Vision is what our next PM has. Sure, the metro doesn't need a train today but it will at some point. Dya want KW to end up like Ottawa? A mess? And one of the reasons cars are so efficient in KW is coz whomever was running the town 50 years ago, when it was 200,000, built a whole bunch of freeways that make getting around town a breeze.

As for the Globe and Mail suggesting that efforts should be directed towards a Calgary to Edmonton run or a Montreal to Toronto super train, um, x does not cancel y.
