Don't get me started on freedom of speech.
Agence France-Presse reports that St. Petersburg , Russia registered its first conviction for propaganda of homosexuality yesterday. You read correctly: propaganda of homosexuality.
The convicted was Nikolai Alexeyev who is a 34 year old lawyer and, thanks for pointing this out A F-P, a gay activist. Mr. Alexeyev was fined 169 dollars/5000 rubles.
He was detained for flying a banner in front of St. Pete's city hall that said "Homosexuality is not perverted. What's perverted is hockey on grass and ballet on ice."
True dat.
