If you are a sports fan of a certain age, mine, you will recall Nick Charles and Fred Hickman of CNN were the early, i.e. pre ESPN and TSN, go to guys for sports news,CNN Sports Tonight, at 11:30 week nights on the news channel.
It is widely reported that Mr. Charles died Saturday of bladder cancer at the relatively young age of 64.
He really is an icon and will be missed.
