3832...Happy Birthday And Welcome Too

It is 69 candles on the cake for Libya's Colonel Moomar Qaddafi.

Still a pain in the neck and getting into movies half price. What a guy.

On a serious note, why don't we, Canada, get him put of Libya by offering him conditional asylum? The condition being that he goes to a negotiated place, some place remote like Wabash, Grande Prairie or Val d'Or and stays there. Like being ostracized or exiled.

Gets him out of Libya, makes us look like heroes and puts him in an isolated spot where he will be easy to monitor

3831...The Longest Day

June 6, 1944.

The beginning of the end.

Thank heavens.

3830...Michael Moore Meet Russell Barth

Great minds think a like.

In today's Suns Michael Moore lauds Brigette DePape, the protesting page.

Fools seldom differ.

3829...Russell Barth Is Back

After taking a sabbatical during the election campaign, yes his insight was missed, Russell Barth is back.

For those of you umfamilliar with Mr. Barth, he is a prolific letter writer and an eloquent spokesman for the underclass.

A letter of his was printed in the Sunday Ottawa Sun where he salutes Brigette DePape, the page who dissed our PM on the floor of the House of Commons.

3828...I Am A Fan Of Justin Trudeau

But I was a bit dismayed that the son of the man who told John Diefenbaker to f@ck off in the House of Commons, a great moment in our history, was dismayed by the protest by the Page, Brigette Two Names I believe is her monikker.

Irony.

And not in the Alanis Morrissette way either.

3827...Paul Revere Meet Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin was in Massachusets today and was extolling the virtues of the original Tea Partier Paul Revere.

The former candidate for veep in the States that the American hero "...warned the British not to take our guns..."

A clear fail.

3826...My Fave Restaurant Has Died

Infill killed my face restaurant, the KFC, K Fried, on Wellington Street in Hintonburgh, Ottawa.

The place had been serving buckets and boxes of great and grease laden goodness since the sixties.

It was a victim of gentrification and, ironically, the self same gentry who would not be caught dead in the Colonel's, are holding a wake tonite from 5 to 7 next door at the Elmdale Tavern.

Look for me in my black sombrero.
