475...Where Oh Where Are The Slim Jims?

If I don't get enough grease in my system on a daily basis I feel a right bit poorly.

Slim Jims, those greasy pencils of [alleged] meat are a true staple of my diet.

And, to boot, they are available at Canadian Tire.

Not so much now though.

www.seriouseats.com, the gourmet website, is telling the world that an explosion last month triggered by a gas leak destroyed the only Slim Jim plant in the country. The plant, which is on Jones Sausage Rd. in Garner, North Carolina, near Raleigh, killed three employees. The company doesn't expect to meet full Slim Jim demand until fall.

Sorry for being the bearer of bad news.

Tonight is the night for the unveiling of the results of the voting for this year's American Idol.

Will it be Adam Lambert or will it be the other guy?

We will know in a matter of hours but what I know right this second is that the American Idol of 2006, Taylor Hicks, will be coming to Ottawa to appear in the road production of GREASE™.

The new Broadway production of the Tony Award nominated musical GREASE™, opens at The National Arts Centre on July 21 – 26, 2009. Taylor Hicks, career on fire, platinum record, appeared on Broadway in GREASE™ and now is in Ottawa, where, if he drinks at the Mayflower Pub on Cooper after the show, may get to meet the WFDS.
