4986...On This Day In 1945 Hiroshima

There is one of the brave men who did the bomb run on the Enola Gay over Hiroshima in 1945 still with us.

He is the group navigator Dutch Van Kilt.

His work helped save the lives of hundreds upon thousands of Allied soldiers and end the Second World War.

  1. When the bomb was dropped on Hiroshima the Japanese had already made tentative moves to surrender. It was an unnecessary experiment.
