It isn't just me saying it either. Finance Minister Jim Flaherty was quoted in The Kingston Whig-Standard as saying that "Don Cherry is a great Canadian who has served Canada very well..."
The esteemed and Honourable Minister then made a funny stating that "Politicians aren't responsible for influencing Order of Canada awards, but he would make a great candidate..."
Let's get on it and get the greatest living Canadian The Order of Canada Mr. Flaherty.
