1856...Stephen Harper Does Something Right

And then he f*cks it up.

What he did right was that he brought in the home renovation tax credit in last year's budget; what he did wrong was take it out of this year's budget.

Stugots.

Even the Times-Transcript, the paper of record in New Brunswick, agrees with me. This morning's editorial in that esteemed bird cage liner hit the nail on the head with this comment:

Eliminating the tax credit ought to be reconsidered. If there were some
small problems with the program (and we've heard of none), they could be dealt
with, but there is no question it was a success economically, creating and
maintaining jobs.

Geez guys, you did something for the hoi polloi, don't get rid of this great program.
