5703...Coming To A Timmies Near You Soon

Or not.

Rebel Donut in Albuquerque have concocted  the “Breaking Bad” donut featuring blue frosting topped with what looks like blue crystal methamphetamine. The meth-like sprinkles mimic the highly potent blue meth made famous by the AMC’s  hit show about a high school physics teacher turned drug dealer to support his fight against cancer, KOAT reports.

Got this off of FOX News which you are too cool to watch.

5702...Mulcair Weasels

Couple of days ago.  On the Senate.  Story was on the front page of the Globe and Mail yesterday.

To summarize the man-who-would-be-king was ranting about how when he becomes the boss in '15 no more Senate.  Then someone, probably a reporter, asked Thomas Mulcair if, when he becomes PM will he appoint NDPers to the Senate.

No response.

What a weasel.

5701...More Popular Than The Rolling.Stones

At least in your capital.  A few years ago the Rolling Stones drew 43,000 in late August to the Central Canada Exhibition in Ottawa.  A week or two later and two hours up the line in Shawville, Quebec Stompin' Tom Connors drew 46,000 people.  At the county fair.

Crazy.  Beyond crazy.  He and his fans drank the town dry; they had to clear a path for beer trucks to come down the highway from the Aylmer quarter of Gatineau.  Stompin' Tom's fans are for real.

Canadian music legend Stompin` Tom Connors receives the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 20th Annual SOCAN Awards gala in Toronto Monday, November 23, 2009. Canadian country-folk legend Stompin' Tom Connors, whose toe-tapping musical spirit and fierce patriotism established him as one of Canada's strongest cultural icons, has died. He was 77. Sadly Stompin' Tom himself is no longer for real.  The Canadian Press reports that the icon died of natural causes earlier today in Dean Del Mastro's Peterborough.  He was 77.

Light a candle.

5698...Canada Comes Of Age

Sure James Naismith was a Canadian and he did invent the game but truly basketball has always been the pure American sport, with apologies to the former Yugoslavia.

In part to the huge spike in immigration from Eastern Africa twenty years ago, thank you Jean Chretien, we have gone from 1/1000 kids playing big time hoops to 1/100 and soon it will be 1/10 or 1/5 big time players will come from Canada.  Toronto, and it pains me to say this, has become one of the pre college basketball capitals of the world.  The boy pictured below, on the right, is Andrew Wiggins, out of Vaughn, a burb of the big city.  He is considered by most to be the best player in the world right now who is not in the NBA.

Be proud.

5697...Good News For Dean Del Mastro

Haven't seen that name in print for a while, have you?  Thanks to the malfeasance of fellow Tories such as Senator Mike Duffy and Senator Pam Wallin and Senator Patrick Brazeau the malfeasance, alleged malfeasance, of Member of Parliament Dean Del Mastro has slipped out of our collective consciousness.

Now this.

Good news for El Roundo comes from Len Berman's That's Sports:

Are you a really big soccer fan? Wait before answering. When Brazil hosts the 2014 World Cup there will be special seats to accommodate obese fans. They even get their own color. That's the good news for hefty fans. The bad is that the seats cost double. Well, that's fair. Here's the bad news. There are only 120 of the seats, and the seat is built to hold only 560 pounds. So if you are a really really big soccer fan, buy your special seat early, or start cutting down on those jumbo soft drinks.
All the MP from Peterpatch has to do is maintain.
