The number 7 Syracuse Orange crushed the Rutgers Whatevers earlier this evening in the Carrier Dome which propelled Coach Jimmy Boeheim into second place all time with 903 wins.

John Kekis from Associated Press Sports points out that Coach Boeheim only trails Coach Krzyzewski of Duke.  Coach K's number 1 Blue Devils also won Monday night, beating Davidson.

Yesterday's Los Angeles Times drops this knowledge on the world:

A statue depicting a seemingly contrite Adolf Hitler kneeling in prayer in the former Jewish ghetto in Warsaw is causing a stir in Poland. Artist-provocateur Maurizio Cattelan created the statue, titled "Him," in conjunction with an exhibit at the Center for Contemporary Art in Warsaw.

Cattelan's statue is visible to the public only through a hole in a gate, according to reports. Viewers can see the statue's back, but not its face.

Understandably this has pissed off some folks, to wit:

The Simon Wiesenthal Center called the statue "a senseless provocation which insults the memory of the Nazis' Jewish victims," according to a report in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz.

I am telling you that Chief Theresa Spence is looking for a way out.  I don't blame her; I have trouble going three hours without food so being on a hunger strike that has now hit 22 days would scare the heck out of me.

Thing is that they/she went into this without an exit plan.

Now she either loses face or loses her life.

Presumably indexed to inflation.  That is what the former Mrs. Silvio Berlusconi will be getting from now until the end of time after her break up with the former and future head of all that is Eye Talian.

The divorce settlement was finalized on Christmas Day and will give Veronica Lario 47,000,000.00 dollars a year to make ends meet.

The London Daily Telegraph says that Mr. Berlusconi is worth 5.3 billion dollars so he shouldn't have to miss too many meals to make his alimony payments.
